District heating plants
Streamline heat production
The ATES system stores surplus heat from sustainable energy sources, such as waste heat, the sun and outside air, in the underground. The surplus heat can then be used later for heat production.
This increases energy efficiency and financial savings, making it possible to supply cheaper heat to the end consumer.
Do you meet the 2020 and 2035 legislative requirements?
By 2020, at least 30% of the energy consumption of district heating plants must come from sustainable energy, and by 2035, consumption must be 100% fossil free.
Investing in an ATES system can help to:
Short ROI
With an ROI of approx. 10 years, the ATES system is a financially attractive solution for most district heating plants. Alternatively, the system can be implemented in stages.
